Shaping our kids' identities begins with identifying our goal: that they would grow into those who know Christ and live their lives in him. Then, their participation in church, our example in the home, and our loving presence with them will reinforce that identity, enabling them to resist the temptation to conform to culture.

Answers to the questions: Isn’t it wrong to indoctrinate kids? Shouldn’t we give them the freedom to choose their own beliefs? What if I don’t feel like my faith is strong enough to influence my kids well? Can’t I rely on the church, youth group, or Christian school to shape my kids’ identity?
