Dad, why do we pray?

Jed Coppenger (lead pastor, Redemption City Church) first outlines the reasons Jesus teaches that we shouldn’t pray: to perform for others or God. Instead, as Jesus demonstrates in the Lord’s Prayer, we should pray in a way that helps us see God accurately as a father who is willing and able to do what’s best for us and see ourselves accurately as those who are dependent on God for everything.
