Dad, is there a difference between social justice and biblical justice?

“The Lord is a God of justice” (Isaiah 30:18), so justice is unsurprisingly a primary biblical virtue. But can the pursuit of justice go off the rails? Judging from the recent cultural discourse and the questions your kids may be bringing home from school as a result, it sure seems so. How do we maintain a commitment to biblical justice while helping our kids respond to the dangerous excesses of the social justice movement?

About the Speaker

Thaddeus Williams serves as associate professor of systematic theology at Biola University. He is the author of several books, including the bestseller Confronting Injustice Without Compromising Truth: 12 Questions Christians Should Ask About Social Justice. He has taught jurisprudence at Trinity Law School, worldview studies at L’Abri Fellowships in Switzerland and Holland, and ethics for the Blackstone Legal Fellowship and the Federalist Society in Washington, DC. Thaddeus resides in Southern California with his wife and four children.
